Kestrel Live Signal: How Copy Trading the Expert Advisor Would Work

A copy trading investment is not something we would ever hold for you: the Kestrel Live Signal would copy into your own MetaTrader 4 account, at your own broker, with your own money. This page describes how that would work, what it would cost you in control, and the route that already exists. It is written in the conditional because the signal does not exist yet.

Two identical terminals, one running the original and one a copy

Cumulative profit of the K3 backtest, the strategy a copy trading investment in the Kestrel signal would follow
K3 (AUDCAD Patient + EURUSD Patient), cumulative profit in euros, backtest 2010 to September 2026 simulated on Dukascopy data at Horizon level — the 2026 months on a different data feed — euros at fixed rates. This is the backtest of the strategy, not a record of any signal. Simulated results.

What a signal would be

The signal would publish the trades of one Kestrel portfolio at one level, and a copy platform would mirror them into the accounts of its subscribers. You would open the account, fund it and connect it yourself; the account would stay in your name at your broker, and the copying would stop the moment you unsubscribed.

No platform is confirmed yet. If it launches, the likely candidate is Myfxbook AutoTrade, since the record itself would already be building on Myfxbook — but nothing is decided until the two points below are answered.

Why the copy loses the settings

Running the expert advisor yourself means choosing the portfolio, the level and the capital behind them. Copying means accepting a proportion that somebody else set.

  • The lot you receive is scaled by the platform, not chosen for your account.
  • A portfolio and level you did not pick decide what floats against you.
  • Two trades can arrive at prices your broker quoted differently.
  • A subscription is an ongoing cost that a licence is not.

That match between lot size and account size is what a grid strategy stands on. No basket closes at a loss because there is no stop loss, so the loss is floating, and a floating loss that fits one account can break a smaller one.

Buying the EA instead

The licence puts the same strategy on your own terminal. Kestrel EA is a grid expert advisor for MetaTrader 4: it opens from its own signal, adds to the basket in small, capped steps when price moves against it, and closes the whole basket together at its target. It never closes a single trade at a loss; until the basket closes, the loss is floating.

Like the kestrel that hangs still in the wind before it strikes, it waits, holds and closes the basket once.

You choose one to four pairs — EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURCAD and AUDCAD — then Patient, Active or both for each, and the level whose recommended capital fits your account: Horizon €999, Summit €4,999 or Zenith €9,999 per year, VAT included. Patient adds to a basket less often and holds a smaller worst case; Active adds more often, returned more in the backtest and reached a larger worst case.

The licence includes the expert advisor, the set files of the four pairs at the level licenced, updates while it is active, a private Telegram group for clients and email support. The five steps are on Kestrel Forex Robot Price and Licence Levels.

What exists today to judge it by: a backtest from 2010 to 2025 on EURUSD Patient and from 2010 to 2022 on the AUDCAD variants, simulated on Dukascopy data, with the worst floating loss of each portfolio dated, plus a forward test on two demo accounts since September 2026. We do not publish their balances and we do not call them live.

The whole record is Is Kestrel a Profitable Expert Advisor? The Full Record.

A copier cannot rerun a backtest on their own terminal, so a signal without a funded record asks for a kind of trust that a licence does not.

What stays off the table

We never receive, hold or manage funds, with a signal or without one. Two things have to be settled before any signal exists: the platform, with its subscription price and minimum account, and whether a signal with automatic execution counts as a personal recommendation under the securities law a subscriber is subject to: [DATO NEGOCIO: revisión legal de la señal por jurisdicción].

Until both are answered, the route that already works is the licence on your own terminal, described from the investor’s side on I Don’t Want to Trade. Can I Still Use Kestrel Expert Advisor?.

Frequently asked questions

Can I subscribe to the Kestrel signal today?

No. The signal does not exist yet, which is why this page is written in the conditional. What exists is the backtest and a forward test on two demo accounts running since September 2026.

Would Daemon Digital LLC have access to my account?

No. In a copy arrangement the platform mirrors trades into an account that stays in your name at your broker, and Kestrel is software rather than a managed account. We never receive, hold or manage funds.

Why would copying be worse than running the expert advisor myself?

Because you lose the settings. A copier follows the lot proportion the platform gives it, not the portfolio and level you chose for your own capital, and a grid strategy whose loss is floating depends on exactly that match between lot size and account size.
