What Kestrel is, in 60 seconds
Kestrel is software: a single compiled .ex4 file, plus a .set file for each
chart you run. You install both yourself in your own MetaTrader 4 terminal, at
your own broker — usually on a VPS so the terminal stays online. From then on
the file trades that terminal on its own, from its own signal. You keep the
account, the broker and the money at every point; nobody else ever has access
to either. The tables below are the published record of what that file did in
simulation and on two demo accounts running forward since September 2026 —
read them before you buy, because that record is what you are buying.
What you can choose
- Pairs: EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURCAD and AUDCAD — choose your pairs, one to four, then Patient, Active or both for each.
- Variant: Patient adds to a basket less often and holds a smaller worst case; Active adds more often, returned more in the backtest and reached a larger worst case. Same rules, same basket close.
- Published portfolios: K3 (AUDCAD Patient + EURUSD Patient), K1 (AUDCAD Active + EURUSD Patient), Full portfolio (all three).
- Level, by recommended capital: Horizon (0.01 starting lot) €999 a year, Summit (×5) €4,999, Zenith (×10) €9,999, VAT included. Same rules; only the size changes.

The record, all of it
Eleven records are published, all simulated on Dukascopy data: the four pairs in both variants — EURUSD and AUDCAD running to September 2026 with the 2026 months on a different feed, GBPUSD to December 2025, EURCAD from January 2014 — plus the K3, K1 and Full portfolios.
Each record carries its return, its worst floating loss with its date and the capital we recommend, sorted here by that capital. Returns run from +128% (EURCAD Active) to +429% (AUDCAD Active) of the capital we recommend for each; the family’s worst floating loss was −€6,165 on 4 March 2016, in the Full portfolio, at fixed exchange rates.

Frequently asked questions
What does a grid expert advisor do differently?
It works on baskets rather than isolated trades, so its risk shows up as floating loss instead of closed losing trades. This site publishes that floating loss with its date for every record.

EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURCAD and AUDCAD — choose your pairs, one to four in the same account, then Patient, Active or both for each. Published records cover all four pairs in both variants, plus the K3, K1 and Full portfolios.
Has Kestrel run on a real account?
