Kestrel Portfolio Calculator: Build Your Set and See the Capital
This forex EA portfolio calculator builds a Kestrel set the way you would licence it: choose your pairs, then Patient, Active or both for each, choose a level and type in the capital you plan to run. It answers with what that exact set did over the record, its worst day with its date, and the four capital figures — at Horizon level, in euros at fixed rates. It is a reading of a simulation, never a forecast.

What this calculator does, and what it does not
Kestrel EA is a grid expert advisor for MetaTrader 4: it opens from its own signal, adds to the basket in small, capped steps when price moves against it, and closes the whole basket together at its target; until the basket closes, the loss is floating.
The calculator reads the record of the set you build. It shows the simulated profit over the window, the worst floating loss with its date, the fall from the equity peak, the lots and the margin, and the four capital figures in the same order as the tables: the two stop-out floors, the joint worst moment, and the capital we recommend.
It is not a forecast, not an offer of a return and not advice. Past performance and backtest results, real or simulated, do not guarantee future results.
How to read the result
Start with the capital you plan to run and find the set whose recommended figure fits it — that is the fourth and largest of the four capital figures, and the one we recommend. The two stop-out floors below it are technical limits, the balance at which a broker would have closed the basket for you, not a capital to aim at.
If a set you like asks for more than you plan to run, take a pair out rather than move to a level whose capital you cannot cover. The level multiplies every euro figure by five or by ten and leaves the percentages where they are.
The whole table, all 255 combinations, is on Kestrel Pair Combinations: What Fits Your Capital, and the method behind every capital figure on Kestrel EA Risk Management and Capital for MT4 Portfolios.
Then what
From here it is five steps: choose your pairs and variant, choose the level whose recommended capital fits your account, buy the annual licence, install it on MetaTrader 4 with its set file, and follow the record.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the numbers in the calculator come from?
From the same simulation as every table on this site: the daily record of each pair and variant on Dukascopy data, at Horizon level with a 0.01 starting lot, in euros at fixed rates. Each window is stated on screen, and no figure comes from a real account.
Is the green light telling me a set is safe?
No. It only says your capital is above the capital we recommend for the set you picked. A worse episode than any in the record remains possible, and the capital is a recommendation, never a requirement.
Why does it not let me pick the same pair twice?
Because a pair is picked once and then run Patient, Active or both — one chart, and one set file, per variant. Running both variants of a pair takes a bigger position on the same price, which is why it costs more capital and spreads nothing.
